through one thousand years covered by this sacred Book of Mormon record.
In fact, the struggle for liberty is a continuing one—it is with us in a

I am grateful for the liberties and freedoms I have, and especially for those men and women who, like Captain Moroni, raise the Standard of Liberty, even unto the lying down of their lives.

I am also grateful for the liberties we still have and also saddened by those that have been lost. For those that have been lost I think of this quote by J. Reuben Clark about how difficult it will be to ever regain the liberties that we have given up for reasons of ‘safety’ or through corrupt politicians who have broken their oaths to defend the constitution and instead pass laws that violate it and take away rights.

Thank you for sharing such a powerful quote by J Reuben Clark. It reminded me of an article I had read written by Mike Jensen. He is not a Mormon, but wanted to learn more about what Mormon's believe because of Mitt Romney running for president.
